Do guests really notice if there is no menu on their plates, or do you gals think that's something worth spending more $ on?

I think I've only seen menus at one of the many weddings I've been to.

Re: Reception menu
It saves alot of time in the waiter/waitress reading off what is for dinner. Thats why I am using them, this way guests can decide, and just tell the waiter.

Re: Reception menu
i definitely don't think it is necessary, but of course, it could add a nice touch. you could easily get some nice paper from staples and do them yourself. it that's not feasible, then I would not loose sleep over it at all. It's just another thing to add to the list!

Re: Reception menu
i've been to about 12 weddings and have never seen a menu on a table. i never knew people made menu's until i found this site. they are a nice touch but unnecessary.

Re: Reception menu
I want to do the menus. It gives my guests the chance to examine what dinner choices and look forward to the food.
Another reason I want to do menus is because I want to describe the dishes in both english and spanish (most of my folks know no english...)

That's why I did it, plus I heard the staff didn;t speak english well (which wasn't true) ... my brother is a graphic artist so he designed them and used a client to print them for me. So they were free. Definitely a nice added touch, but totally not a MUST HAVE if you don;t want to do it.
