reception music

FH and I will not be playing the wedding standards, because we're not fans of a lot of the disco and pop music most DJ's play. In fact, we will be giving our DJ a CD composed of some of the songs that he won't be able to get. Going over some of the songs in my Wedding Music iTunes list, FH said that people won't be able to recognize most of the music! but at the end of the day, it's about what we want. I think the only standard that I like is 'Wonderful Tonight.' What will everyone else play?

I want alot of dance music! That's the main goal, but I will probably have to throw some spanish songs in there for the family.

FH and I do not really listen to top40 music, but if we played the stuff we do listen to (i.e. Radiohead, Modest Mouse) no one would dance. So we are making some adjustments.

I can picture the MC starting this game and saying 'Everyone get out a pen and paper, we're going to play a little musical game!' and winners take home the CP's lol

One of the djs suggested playing your fav music during cocktail hour bc noones dancing anyway. For ex coldplay, not too danceable but good backgroynd music.

We are going to have a lot of fun Dance songs! The kind of stuff everyone loves to dance to. Were both listen to a lot of rock and indie so well probably play that kind of stuff more durring the cocktail hour
