Re: reception places??
I looked at CLM. They were pretty reasonably priced and had a nice view. I think the price was around 75-80 pp before tax for a friday in April.
HTH!!!

Re: reception places??
you can do a search for threads about these reception sites. I think the CLM girls have their own thread. Also, check out the Bride's Review for feedback from brides who have already had their weddings. A few girls in the past few months have gotten married at CLM and Riviera. Good Luck!!!!!

FH and I looked at the Crescent Beach Club, its very nice and perfect if you like the beach! We did not get along with Bill, the gentleman who we met with so I think that is what turned us off to the Crescent Beach Club but I heard that every other banquet manager is great!!!

Re: reception places??
I called Crescent to make an appointment to see the venue when I was looking for halls, and they guy I spoke to asked me for my budget over the phone. I was new to this whole thing, so I really didn't hash that out yet, but he seemed very curt to me and said 'Well, Saturday nights in August start at $190 a plate. I don't want you wasting your time, or end up liking the venue and it's out of your budget.' Then he proceeded to rattle off other names of halls that I didn't know of that were a comparison. I appreciated that he was being honest with me, but I felt he could have been more tactful about it. I was turned off and didn't make the appointment anyway. Most places I found to never speak of $$$ over the phone, they get you there, give you their highest rate and then you usually have a chance to negotiate. This guy wanted nothing of it.
Overall, I've heard nothing but good things about the food there, many raves and the place is beautiful. Good luck on your search!

So true-we went to a couple of places and they were a little rude with us-and I LOVE the place we chose!

MY FFIL wanted us to go there-his NCPD parties were always there-he got SO excited telling us about the room with the floor...we actually didnt want it there...but we changed our minds and are VERY happy with that decision.
