I am paying $81 pp (not including tax & grat). Originally $87 but I took out half of the food for the cocktail hour and they took $6 off the price per person. There's too much food anyway.

I was also quoted:
Timber Point $72
West Lake Inn $68
Riviera $65
George Wash Manor $81

All these for a Saturday evening in March.

Interesting. I never thought of that (taking out items) to reduce the price.

Each place I looked out (see list above) took off between $6-$10 a plate. I called about 4 more places and while I didn't get a price quote they were willing to work with me. I took out all carving stations and hot food stations. All I am having at the cocktail hour is passed hors d'orves and cold antipasta stations as well as fruit, cheese and crackers. It can't hurt to try it if that is what you want or you are trying to save money.

BUMP

If its not too rude to ask, please continue to post your prices.....its gives people some insight on what to expect out there. Also gives us an idea on how to save money for example day reception on a Sunday is better than a Friday evening :)

103 per person with gratuity(no tax- govt. institution). 100 person minimum for Sat night in July. If you have a family member in the military or retired, definately check out my hall. Wonderful prices, you're the only wedding, great food and the view is awesome- on the sound in Kings Point.

I am paying $140 plus tax and tip (Saturday Night) for flowerfield in December plus tax and tip- with 175 people grantee

I don't think that includes the fees to have the ceremony there- it was an extra 1500 I think

I checked out Marina Del Rey in the Bronx for a Saturday night. For a wedding between April-October:
125 pp + $10 seafood bar @ CH + $10 Viennese. Total price including tax/service charge: $182 pp.

The pluses are:

*Table menus provided
*Premium liquors/frozen drinks at open bar
*Selection of 8 entrees
* 1 1/2 hour CH for total reception time of 6 1/2 hours (with Viennese, of course!)

i'm paying $45 for a friday night at Huntington town House. Its not as beautiful as the other halls but it saved us a whole lot of $$$.
The thing is you have to bargain with them.
they will quote u a price, but u don't have to accept it.

Re: Reception prices?

Here's another quote....

Russo's on the Bay.....
They want $125 a plate +18% service charge + maitre D + tax. 5 hour party. Viennese is $12 additional. Mini V is $6 additional for 1/2 hour. This price does not include any seafood at cocktail hour, which is important for my family and FH. Shrimp at CH is additional $6.50. If you want more (clams/oyster, etc) it's like $12.50 from what I remember. For the full spread seafood it's additional $25.

Carltun @ Eisenhower Park

Starts at $215 a plate. I don't even remember how much it would be to add the extras.

we are paying $95pp for a fri night in july at atantis marine world aquarium in riverhead. with tax and gratuity it should come out to $122pp. the price includes ch and buffet. its more than we wanted to spend, especially for buffet, but we are paying that price for the atmosphere---which is amazing! besides, his parents are giving us $10,000 so went with it. we are paying an additional $500 to have our ceromony there we were quoted $79 for a thursday night, but we opted against a thursday night wedding. if anyone wants info on weddings at atlantis fm me, i would love to share! ~lacey
