Hello ladies...I am just beginning this process. I have a tentative budget and trying to figure out average prices of everything....if anyone has prices that they were quoted for reception halls it would be greatly appreciated...still figuring out the date IN 2008 so months would be wonderful!
Just remember, prices are very different depending on what time of day you're having the wedding & reception, and what day of the week it is. We're getting married on a Sunday in June, but we ended up getting the April price, because we booked late in the process and they obviously wanted to fill the slot.--an empty room doesn't make anyone happy. . It's also more expensive depending on the time of the year--if you're on Thanksgiving weekend, I'm pretty sure that's going to be a premium, and I know that flower prices get much higher around Thanksgiving (Christmas and Valentine's Day too.)

Re: RECEPTION PRICES
I'm trying to remember...my numbers may be slightly off.
Watermill - Sat afternoon - March $69, April $75, June $85 - he threw in chocolate fountain, ice sculpture, chair covers, and martini bar for free (i guarenteed 250 though). We liked it but didn't want an afternoon wedding.
Woodbury Country Club - Sat night in June - $95
Lands End - Sat night in June - $145 (I think)
Venetian Yacht Club - Sat night in June - $125
Chateau La Mer - sat night in june - $105
Of course the prices differed significantly outside of June and the sat night. FM me if you need more info.

Re: RECEPTION PRICES
I don't have exact prices, but here are some things to consider that I personally found:
Saturday evening is the most expensive (usually at least $20-40 more per person, plus tax & gratuity)
Friday Evening is the next most expensive
Saturday Daytime is next (or can be similar pricing to Friday evening depending on the RH)
Sunday afternoon can be least expensive (but, again, depending on the RH, it can be same as Saturday day).
Always remember to calculate tax and gratuity on any price a reception hall gives you so that you know the REAL amount you'll be paying per person. Good luck!

Yep, definitely keep this in mind! FH and I didn't factor in tax before we booked, so when we saw the contract we were like .
