reception seating

reception seating

How is everyone having their bridal party sit. I wanted all my BM on one side by me and all the GM on his side by him. My brother said i was stupid...i thought was how it was?

Actually I believe the Best man sits next to you and the MOH sits next to the groom. Next to the BM you have the GM's and next to the MOH are the BM's...I think thats how it goes

ETA: But remember that can change..and you can do it however you want

we are having a sweetheart table ( just the 2 of us) and then probably his GM and dates and my BM and dates at 2 tables right near us.

This is how I will do it too. FH and I will be at the sweetheart table..then I will have 2 tables near by (one for FH family and one for mine) and the BM's and GM's will be sitting at either one of those tables

all at one rectangle table

We are going to have a sweetheart table and then our bridal party will sit separately grouped with people that they know. I feel bad making their dates sit with random people that they do not know.

We're thinking of doing this too since our party is so large.

This is what we are planning to do.

I personally don't like the head table idea. We were just at a wedding where they had that and sat with the wife of one of the GM. All she really wanted was to be sitting next to her husband ....

We will be sitting at the sweetheart table and the BP will be sitting with their dates/spouses/ect. at regular tables.

I was considering doing the same thing but I wasn't sure people did this.

you can seat people however you want. we are at a sweatheart and the bp will be all over with there dates. some bp will be together

I think we're going to do this as well.

We're doing this too. I've been in weddings where I had to sit at a table with the B&G and our dates sat seperately -- let me tell you....EVERY one of the bridesmaids and groomsmen hated it. It's really not fair to the BP. I will let them sit with their dates at a seperate table.

Im not doing any of this sitting things, just me and FH will be at our own table . The eevryone else were there sitting why i dont like it cause if one of your Gm or BM isnt with the other peson then there not sitting with there BF or Gf or there date i wouldnt like it if it was me .. but agian thats me lol.

we're having a sweetheart table then to my side will have the BMs with their guests then a table by my FI side will be the GMs and their dates.

My seating arrangement is only for the first hour of the reception, once we eat then they can do whatever they please!!! They don't have to sit there all night long without their dates or families.
