reception seating

is your family sitting on your side of the sweetheart table?

I have heard that some people have the brides family on the grooms side and the grooms family on the brides side so they can see their son/daughters face when the bride and groom are talking to each other... has anyone heard of this or is doing this?

we didn't really do sides. . we just tried to give family the better tables. . close to us but with better views/room locations so it didn't end up being sides at all. .
