Hello all! Today my FH and I are going to look at some more locations for our reception. We are going to the Swan Club, Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor. Anyone have some words of advice or suggestions for us? I am really hoping that we book something today and am a little nervous. The only other place I have looked at is the Milleridge Inn and loved it. Wow, this is really overwhelming!
So, any suggestions/ideas are much appreciated.

Re: Reception shopping!
I am really partial to the Westbury Manor! We met with Susan Bria and she was great. Defiantly negotiate! They are pretty flexible.
Good Luck

I was stressed out too! We looked at 6 places total, and that was enough for me! All I can say is that you will have a 'Feeling' when you find the right place. Good luck with your search! Oh, and try not to laugh when the BM's give you their speeches!! ITs pretty funny sometimes!!

I looked at about 12 halls before we decided. You still have plenty of time, so don't worry about needing to rush the process. I looked at Swan Club and the flowers are beatiful. My only complaint is that the room was way to small for the 100 guarantee and the water smelled bad outside. I heard that Westbury is great although I've never been there. If you can tell me what you are looking for in a hall and what you are looking to spend per person, I can give you some other suggestions.

Re: Reception shopping!
We went to the same 3, plus 6 more. All of those (Swan, Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor) look like amazing places to have your wedding. We didn't spend much time at Fox Hollow because they were having a wedding there when we visited, and I felt weird about walking around during someone's party. When you go to Swan Club, ask to see the Bridal Suite. They didn't show it to us, and I didn't realize until later.
Have fun! :)

if we didn't absolutely love the stewart manor cc, we would've gone to look at more places. swan club was on the short list. just go and enjoy, this is the fun part!

Re: Reception shopping!
We are getting married at the Swan Club as you know...just have fun with it.
We didn't take pics...but we talked about each place as soon as we got in the car.
Some places were definite NOs!
After we looked at all of them we sat and looked at the 2 we liked the best...Millerage and Swan Club and talked about Pro's and Con's of each and put their menus next to each other and compared. For us it came down to what was offered for money.
As you are looking think to yourself 'Can I picture myself having my wedding here?'
