Reception site suffolk county

I started looking at reception site this past weekend......

We are planning on having 150 people. The places we went to we have to cross off the list do to the fact that it is going to cost 20-30 grand and that cant happen.

If anyone has a suggestions of reception sites under that....it will lift me up a little bit.

These prices have got me and fh really down in the dumps

we are trying to avoid go to places falling in love with and finding out its too much money

thank you

Why don't you try calling them first to make sure they are in your price range so you don't get dissappointed?

Try the following:
Huntington Townhouse
Manor East
Sunset Harbour
Larkfield Manor
Windows on the the Lake
Beach Club Estate
Chateau La Mer

I am in the same boat!!! The more places I see, the more I love, but I just can't justify spending that much for one day!! I'd rather have a house that much sooner!

You could try Mediterranean Manor, Sunset Harbour, Meadow Club, East Wind, like Bridget said (it's beautiful, I might book there soon, it's between there and Meadow Club!)

Also I heard Swan Club is pretty 'inexpensive' and it's really nice there.

It's freaky, how much money it is, but you can find places that are less.

Someone on this board was just posting that there is a brand new place in mt. Sinai--Hamlet Willow Creek. They're not open yet, but are taking reservations for 2005 at great prices. The link to the website is in the upper right page of this site.

Also, try Miller Place Inn...they quoted me a great price (although I am getting married in February).

Your best bet might be Brentwood Country Club--It's all inclusive--flowers, DJ, photos--for about under $15000 depending on date, amount of people, etc. My aunt was married there three years ago (I was MOH) service was great, food was wonderful...the hall is very attractive and we were pampered by the bridal attendant!!

Good luck!

Try the Watermill in Smithtown. We got married in February and got a really good price. Also Sunset Harbor is very reasonable.

Like I said on Saturday G.....our hall is $53 pp before tax and stuff for March and they are renovating at the end of Jan. The catering service has several locations, and the prices are on the websites.....check it out, let me know if you have any questions.
Good Luck!!!

Brentwood country club and Holbrook country club are very nice with all-inclusive packages. (I would've booked there but they can't fit over 200 people). I got a very good price from the Huntington Townhouse! ALso check out the Meadow Club! The Snapper Inn is also very nice, my future-sis-in-law just got married there and it was wonderful (right on the water). FM me if you want any more info on any of these places.

We looked at a bunch of places before we booked the Vineyard. The best prices, and the most willing to work with you, were
The Meadow Club
Any of the Lessings...Smithtown Landing, Timberpoint, etc.
The Vineyard(but we are getting married way off season for them)
Window on the Lake
Giorgio's
The Thatched Cottage
I think that is you are willing to move your date around a little...like a Friday or Sunday, you will get better prices.
Also, you really need to look around, I don't think you are being all that ridiculous with your pricing. You should be able to do that with no problem, just keep looking and don't accept the price they give you right away. Ask if they can do any better or if there are other options.
Good luck, that was the worst part of planning the wedding, going from place to place and then getting disapointed when you heard the prices.

I would also recommend either Larkfield Manor or Meadow Club. Also, if you get married during an 'off season' you would be amazed at how the prices change!

There really isn't much of a difference between Friday weddings and Sunday Weddings. The real difference is when you start looking at Saturdays. That is when the prices jump.
Your reception hall is out there, you will find one that you will love and be totally able to afford. don't worry.
