reception spots for 50 dollars per person plus tax or less
Hi I was wondering if anyone could recommend an elegant but affordable reception hall for 50 per person for a friday night for less than 90 people. It doesn't have to be an open bar, it could be just beer, wine soda, buffet, cocktail hour and the rest. thanks a lot. for august. Also that i could have the ceremony there.

Friday night is cheaper then saturday. thats a plus august is one of the more expensive months. How about a restaurant? I went to a wedding today at the knights of columbus in seaford and it was beautiful!

I was just thinking that myself. I am planning a Saturday afternoon/evening in August 2004.

Meadow Club in port Jeff. We paid more than that but for a Saturday night in June. Also, they had a smaller menu for less. Good Luck

I would also suggest the Meadow Club in Port Jeff, they were totally reasonable in their price. Their grounds are beautiful and I LOVED the person I met with. I ended up booking the Watermill but I wanted to take the guy from the Meadow Club with me!
I've also heard that the HUntington Town House is inexpensive. I know that they have recently gone through a mgmt change and are trying to bring in new business.

I sedond the Meadow Club in Port Jefferson. I went to a wedding there recently and the couple got married there and the reception was wonderful. I believe it was a good deal.

I've never been there, but I heard that the Knigts of Columbus in Oceanside is supposed to run a very nice wedding and is nice inside. When we first got engaged, several people suggested it. And the price should be reasonable.

Seaford Knights of Columbus and the Oceanside Knights of Columbus are two options. I personally liked the decor in the Oceanside one better, and I have eaten the food there (1 wedding and numerous other events - my dad is a member) and the caterer there (their own) is very good. I can't remember is Seaford's K of C had a separate cocktail room but Oceanside's doesnt. Both are around your price.
If you want the number for Oceanside's K of C or address, FM me. I forget Seaford's.
Edited to add: you might want to try Verdi's of Westbury too. I am having my wedding there and while ours is a bit more than $50 pp + tax, it's not that much more and we're getting (in my opinion) a good deal. It's on Old Country Road. The foyer area (lobby) is really pretty. The food...excellent. We didn't pick the Knight of Columbus' because 1) my dad belongs to the oceanside one and I go to alot of parties there and to me having my wedding there - because i've been there so much - I wanted to have it somewhere else. Not to say it's not a nice place, it is, it's just that I wanted to go somewhee different for a change. 2) seaford is nice but I think it was too small for the # of people we are inviting (250 -300).

I would say the Brentwood Country Club has good food and they also have an all inclusive package if you want it. Also I hear that the Hunington Town House is around that price range.
