My ceremony will be at the Watermill and it will go directly into the ch. Since im not at a church and there will be no recieving line, how do I avoid going around to each and every person to say thank you? Not that I dont want to say thank you, its just that as it is I will be missing some of the ch and my fh and I dont want to spend an hour going around to each and every table. Any suggestions?

Re: recieving line
Sorry to say it, but you are probably going to have to go around to tables. We were planning to greet people at the CH, but it just didn't happen, so we went to each table during dinner. It is sort of a pain, but we wanted to make sure we thanked everyone for coming.

Re: recieving line
You can do a couple of things, but it is going to take away from your party time one way or another. You can have a quick recieving line after your ceremony, you can atted part of your CH and try to make it around the room as much as possible, you can make your rounds to the tabls during the reception, or you can hand out your favors at the end of the night so you can say thank you and goodbye to all of your guests.

All are great suggesstions!! personally, I wouldn't hand out the favors because that's as they are leaving. To me, its rude.. You should be able to see your guests during the reception, not to just say thanks and the end of the evening. I would be insulted if I attended a wedding and the only time I spoke to the Bride and Groom was on my way out! JMO

Re: recieving line
I am also a morning Watermill bride. I am not having a receiving line either and ALL pictures must be taken care of before the ceremony starts (yes, immediate family included). I was insistant on that. We are only having a wedding of maybe 100 but I am determined to see everyone at the cocktail hour and make my rounds then. As I'm paying for it I was inistant on all pics before so I could make the rounds at the CH and then enjoy the reception.
