Recipe Help!

I am posting over on this board because I assume it will have much more traiffic than the others....
anyway:

I am making Sweet Potatoe French Fries, and I want to make a maple dipping sauce....I had this at Toast in Port Jefferson once, but I can't find any recipies anywhere on how to make the sauce.

I called Toast; it's a 'secret recipe' but the did tell me that it was a mayonnaise based sauce with maple syrup.

I did a search, and I came up with

1 cup Mayo
1/2 cup Maple Syrup
1/4 cup cider vinegar.

I made it, adjusted a bit by taste...but it's still not as good as the one I had.

Anyone have any ideas or tried and true recipies for this dipping sauce?

Thanks

Re: Recipe Help!

I tried doing a search, too .. not really sure what I'm looking for .. but here's something:
________________________________

1/2 to 1 cup raw sunflower seeds
1/2 cup water
4+ cloves garlic
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp maple syrup
salt
cayenne pepper
1/2 cup oil

Blend all the ingredients except the oil until liquefied. Gradually add the oil as you would when making mayonnaise

Serving Suggestion: Use this recipe on salads, sandwiches, for vegtable dip, in potato salad and anywhere else you use mayonnaise. It also makes a delicious sour cream substitute in borscht!
_______________________________

1 1/4 cup mayonnaise
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup real maple syrup
2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon minced onion flakes

Directions:

In a medium bowl, whisk together all the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately, or cover and chill; whisk again just before serving.
____________________________________

1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup whole grain Dijon mustard
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
2 teaspoons prepared horseradish

Recipe
Combine all in small bowl and whisk well to blend. Serve cold. Good with grilled salmon or on ham or turkey sandwiches. Makes 1 1/2 cups.

Hope something frome the above helps!!
