recipe organizer / book

How do you people organize your family and personal recipes? I was thinking of doing book layout and then printing it out but i was wondering if anyone knew of something more simple or quicker then me doing all the layout work.

My mom actually made me a recipe book last year for Christmas. Its really cute, she just got a photoalbum that has like 2 pics per page, and recipe cards that fit in and decorated it with scrapbooking stuff.

same here. i bought a nice wood one from target. then i bought a small recipe holder thingy that i can prop up on the counter when im cooking. It holds one recipe card up for me to see. i got it at container store.

oh just get a really nice looseleaf binder from staples, and those plastic covers for pages... that way, when you cook, each recipe is protected, and the book won't get goopy or covered with water stains......

You could build a MS Access Database to keep it all handy and searchable, but it isn't easy... whatever you do make sure your pages or cards are all protected. otherwise they will get scummy over the years...
