Since there have been so many great recipies on the board recently and we don't have a dedicated recipe board I'm running with Shamma's idea and starting a recipe thread, so post them all here!! Maybe change the subject when you do to the title of the recipe for easy searching?!??
1 Combine the onion, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, thyme, sesame oil, garlic, allspice and habanero pepper in the container of a food processor or blender. Process until smooth. Place the chicken into a large resealable bag, and pour in 3/4 of the sauce. Squeeze out excess air, and seal. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
2 Preheat your oven's broiler.
3 Remove chicken from bag, and discard marinade. Broil chicken for 10 to 15 minutes, turning once to ensure even cooking. Heat remaining sauce in a small pan, and pour over chicken when serving.
Also good grilled! Can substitute Olive oil for sesame oil, or forego altogether. If using a george foreman grill cook 5 minutes per side and check
Directions 1 Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Saute onion until tender and translucent. Stir in the curry powder. Add the chopped carrots, and stir until the carrots are coated. Pour in the vegetable broth, and simmer until the carrots are soft, about 20 minutes.
2 Transfer the carrots and broth to a blender, and puree until smooth. Pour back into the pot, and thin with water to your preferred consistency.

Portobello Mushroom Steak Recipe
Ingredients 1/3 pound watercress 4 portabello mushroom caps (about 5 in. wide) 1 tablespoon olive oil 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce Salt and pepper 1/2 cup chopped shallots 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 3/4 teaspoon dried tarragon 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch 1 cup evaporated low-fat milk 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
Directions
1 Rinse and drain watercress; pluck off tender sprigs (you should have 11/2 to 2 cups). Chop enough of the remaining watercress (including stems) to make 1/4 cup
2 Trim off and discard any mushroom stems to make ends flush with interior of caps; rinse caps and pat dry. In a small bowl, mix olive oil and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire. Rub mixture evenly over smooth sides of mushroom caps. Sprinkle both sides lightly with salt and pepper. Lay caps, gill side down, on a rack in a 10- by 15-inch broiler or baking pan.
3 Broil about 4 inches from heat until juice starts to drip from mushroom caps, 4 to 5 minutes. Turn caps over and broil until juice in caps bubbles and mushrooms are flexible, 5 to 7 minutes longer.
4 Meanwhile, combine shallots, vinegar, and tarragon in an 8- to 10-inch frying pan; boil over high heat, stirring often, until all the liquid has evaporated, about 1 minute. In another small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water until smooth; whisk in milk, mustard, and remaining 1 teaspoon Worcestershire. Add to shallot mixture and stir until boiling. Add salt and pepper to taste.
5 Transfer mushroom caps to dinner plates. Tuck watercress sprigs alongside caps. Spoon sauce equally over mushrooms and sprinkle with chopped watercress.

SWEET POTATO BISCUITS
Recipe Summary Prep Time: 25 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes Yield: 3 dozen 2-inch biscuits 6 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into small pieces plus 2 tablespoons, melted 1 by-2-inch strip orange rind 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour, plus more for patting out 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons light-brown sugar Generous pinch ground ginger 1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest 1 cup well cooked and mashed sweet potato (1 medium) 2/3 cup buttermilk Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Using a pastry cutter or 2 knives, cut the chilled butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal. Make a well in the center and add sweet potato. Using a fork, stir in the sweet potato. Add buttermilk and stir just until the dough comes together. Do not over mix. Lightly dust dough with flour. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface, and knead gently 6 to 8 times. On a clean work surface, pat out the dough to a thickness of 1/2-inch. Using a floured 1 1/2-inch or 2-inch biscuit cutter, cut out the biscuits as close together as possible. Transfer to prepared baking sheet. The scraps may be patted out again once more. Prick the tops of each biscuit a few times. Brush the tops with the reserved orange-flavored butter. Return the chicken to the skillet. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and shows no sign of pink when pierced at the bone, about 35 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a deep platter and cover with foil to keep warm. Bring the sauce to a boil over high heat and cook, stirring often, until thickened, about five minutes.
