We're getting my boss a bottle of wine as a thank you gift for the Holidays but I'm clueless on wine and of course I'm in charge of getting it. What's something good around $20 that I can get at a regular wine store.

Try a Bogle Cabernet, it should be a little less that 20$ though, maybe 17$
You could always ask the store employee, they always have good suggestions, just make sure you give them your price range!

Best bet is to ask the clerk at the wine store for a recommendation in your price range. My favorites (reds) : Rosemount Estates Shiraz or Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau St. Michele Cabernet, some of the Mondavis are good too.
Prosecco might also be a good choice this time of year, an alternative to champagne.

Yellowtail - Austrailian wine is inexpensive and SOOO yummy... I have had their chardonnay & shiraz.... the shiraz is amazing!!

Yellowtail is a great one and I just saw a special 'reserve' or something like that bottle yet it's still under $20

A great crowd-pleasing white wine is Robert Mondavi Fume Blanc (same grape as sauvignon blanc) and it runs about $15 in most liquor stores. Great for entertaining.
As for red, I'm a pinot noir fan -- Estancia is very good, has high points (95 or so I believe?) and is fairly inexpensive (deffinitely under $20).

I would try the robert mondavi, most ppl LOVE it and even when i went to the liquor store to ask for red wines they all suggest robert mondavi. Its in your range too. And then you can get the merlot or cabernet, depending on what you want. I even picked up a bottle of mondavi today for dh bc he loves it.
ALso santa margherite is good too, its $25 though so just go with the mondavi

Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio is my favorite..it runs from$19-$24 depening on where u get it

My fav is yellow tail - the smallest bottle is around 9 bucks and that is all I drink lol

FH and I are big fans of Cabernet Savignon... Roberto Mondavi has some good ones...even a reserve in most liquor stores can be around $20.
If not you can always get a Montelpuccino d'abruzzo..region in italy for wine...(more if you are a fan of Chianti..stronger flavor but great wine.,)
