I'm not happy with my skin lately. I don't have a lot of acne, just a pimple every once in a while. I see some ladies out there with such beautiful skin and I'm so jealous. Please recommend what you use to get your face looking like this! I'd also like something that doesn't bleach my towels (like proactive has done). TIA!!

Re: Recommend your face products/ / treatments
I have had problem skin and tried EVERYTHING. I finally found a great facialist. I use the products she has, Christine Valmy. You can order it online I think but I get it through her. It does not stain. I used proactice so many times I feel like it works then it just stops working. Also, six months before my wedding I had a chemical peel, its not a fun process but the outcome was amazing. Let me know if you have any questions.

I use clarins face wash and moisturizer. I keep hearing toner is the key and they have a good one.
What about a facial? I booked one for next wednesday and my friend who got married in may and has great skin she recommended a light exfoliating peel that gets the dead skin off. I think I am going to do that too before the big day.

Its a bit pricey but I'm in love with th La Mer Facial scrub. I use once a week after I cleanse. Then follow with toner, and Revive Mosturizer.
I also love Tea Tree Oil wash, from the Body shop. Great for every day use with the face brush.
After washing use a simple toner, I haven't found any one better than any other. It really helps to neutralize the skin.
Daily, I use any over the counter moisturizer, my favs are Loreal brands.
Once a week I use Revive wich is an old lady moisturizer, a little expensive, but feels so good after the exfoliation as it tightens up everything.
Expensive ingredients don't have to be expensive they can last you months if you use little bit and wisely.

Be careful with salon facials.
They always make me break out. sometimes worse than other times. My skin looks great the 1st day, the 2nd day I start getting little bumps.

I agree that Proactiv starts working then stops again. I use Proactiv and I see my face looking clear but then my acne comes back again. I also use Bare Essentuals, its a light makeup that does not clog my pores and I also use this acne device called ZENO, http://www.myzeno.com/, OMGGGGGG works wonders
I swear by Mario Badescu...They give really good and reasonable facials too if you can come to their office in the city on 52nd and 2nd. I had such bad skin and they helped so much!

Re: Recommend your face products/ / treatments
funny i actually just went to see my dermatologist at Columbia University today and she recommends oil-free products, gentle cleansers (also oil free) - she said don't buy expensive products, get the very basic, gentle ones - that's really all you need - i got some prescription cream though for some ugly stuff on my forehead but she said prevention is really the key - cleanse, moisturize and put sunscreen during the day - that's it!

I wish I could help you. I have to see a dermatologist because I have cystic acne. But, I do use Aveeno to wash my face. (The one with the Salisylic Acid in it) My derm recommended Aveeno because most of their products are oil free and non comedogenic.

I used Proactiv for about a year and never noticed a huge difference so i stopped and started using Loreal AcneResponse which is $20 and can be bought at Walmart or Ulta. Since using this i have noticed a huge difference, my skin is soo much clearer and i rarely have any breakouts.

I used proactiv even though i didnt need it i have good skin. the only thing with proactiv when you stop using it you might get some pimples. But truthfully when i started birth control my skin got clearer i dont even get pimples unless i OD on chocolate. I agree with the Aveeno thats what i use to wash my face i use the scrub pads. Just watch what you eat that has an affect on acne/pimples.

I use the avance products that I buy at the salon. The soap is $20 and last me 2 months.
