There is probably a thread in reference to this topic - However - I plan to send out my invitations in the next couple of weeks and I know hand canceling is very important - Can anyone recommend their post office - I live in Nassau but work in Suffolk so I can travel - TIA
I wouldn't see a tremendous difference between post offices. As long as you go on off hours, you should be ok.
I used Setauket PO and had no complaints of rips, tears, etc. Plus they hand stamped mine and some of the family had their invites that day. I mailed them at 8am that morning.
I went yesterday to the Farmingdale Post Office (I think - its on main street off conklin) and the woman I went to just to have my invitations weighed was great! She said to bring them in on a day that it wasn't raining and she would hand cancel them herself..and i didn't even ask!!
I went to Setauket and Centereach,they were both great! They let me hand stamp them myself,because I was crazy !! LOL

they were very accomodating at the merrick PO,
i would not go to the wantagh PO, they were very rude to me.

did you go to the little PO or the one on Merrick Rd in Merrick?
