Recommendations for a good HD camcorder??

We're hoping to buy a decent HD camcorder and just having a few people film our vows, and just a few key moments in the night.

Please post your recommendations! I have no idea what to get and want to keep it under $300. I've heard there are good and inexpensive ones out there...

Keep in mind you need an HD TV to watch them (silly, I know but some people don't even think of this, and they also aren't good if you plan to upload online, the quality is grainy unless you are viewing on an HD monitor)

#1 Why do you want an HD camcorder versus an SD camcorder?

#2 It is going to be impossible to find a halfway decent HD camcorder for under $300!

What are some features that you have to have?
