Recommendations for Bridal Shops

Hello lovely ladies!

I just started my real search for a bridal gown. I recently went to RK Bridal and although they had a ton of gorgeous gowns, I wasn't thrilled with my experience there. The consultant I worked with wasn't really helpful. Like most brides, I do have an idea of what type of dress I would like but I am also open to trying on different styles as well. I like to keep an open mind but unfortunately that contributes to my indecisive nature.

What shops would you recommend that has a good variety as well as a helpful staff? I live in Brooklyn so I started in the city since it was closest but open to to locations in other boroughs as well as Long Island.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Definitely look into Bridal Reflections. I got my dress from the one in Massapequa, but I know there is one in the city.

Recommendations for Bridal Shops - Long Island Weddings

As a fellow Brooklyn bride - I highly recommend Lotus Bridal or Monica's Bridal. Both are in the Sheepshead Bay area.

This! One of my good friends just got her dress there for her august wedding. She fell in love with 2 dresses and is actually getting both lol! They gave her a really good price for getting 2 dresses. She loved her experience there too.

NY Bridal Outlet in Farmingdale. They were AMAZING to work with. They have off the rack as well as made to order dresses.

Lovely Bridal and Wedding Atelier in the city. Had great experiences at both and purchased my dress at Wedding Atelier!

A friend of mine who was just married in November told me about this place. I'm checking it out in January.

Did you try Kleinfelds? I got my dress there and their service is excellent. I kept changing my mind about whether I should get a pale blush colored wedding dress or go the traditional route. They were extremely patient with me and next day shipped color swatches for me to see so I didn't have to go into the city again. They also gave me a bit of a deal with some accessories :)

I live in the boroughs as well (Queens) and took the LIRR to Manhasset lol. I found my dress at the Macy's there! It was a very pleasant experience.

Bridal Reflections in Massapequa! I went to 5 other salons before going to BR. My consultant was Deborah and she was outstanding!!

Pronovias in Manhattan.. the salon is beyond beautiful the service is just amazing... you get to flip through dresses on a touch screen computer while you wait and add dresses into your virtual dressing room!

I got my dress from Bridal World in Baldwin. I personally don't like the look/feel (fabric) of most wedding dresses but was able to find something I love from there. If you visit, I worked with Janine - she's really nice, I think she's there Tues/Thurs.

I also liked Macys in Manhasset. I tried on wedding dresses and brought all my girls there to try on bridesmaid dresses. I wound up not getting anything from there, but the staff is really nice and it's a nice place.

Bridal Reflections is okay (a bit cramped). I went to the Massapequa one as a bridesmaid. I've also heard it depends what location you go to: the more expensive the neighborhood, the higher the dress prices.
