Recommendations - Used car lots?

Recommendations - Used car lots?

FH really needs to buy a used car. I'm a little nervous about it, because we're really trying to save for our wedding, and I don't know which places are reputable. Have any of you had a good experience buying a used car, and can recommend a place? Thanks so much.

we gpot our car from plaza auto mall in brooklyn. we got a toyota camry. we love it

thanks for the suggestions. I actually got a Toytota Corolla from Plaza Auto Mall a long time ago, but it was new. Are they good for used cars too? The problem is, we just bought a brand new car in September, and can't really afford one now. Our budget is about $5000.

Any more suggestions? We're planning on just going from place to place all day Sunday, and buying one that day if we can.

i have bought 2 cars from D&P in Bellmore on Bellmore Rd (corner of Beltagh)

i have recommended them to a few of my friends and they have bought cars from there too.

Thanks for the suggestions! I live right near Plaza Auto Mall, so I think we'll go there tomorrow morning, and then head over to the Island and check out D&P, and a few others along the way. We really need to get this 2nd car ASAP, poor FH is commuting to work in Mineola every day on the LIRR, and it takes 2 hours, and is just killing him.
