I was just wondering if anyone reconnected with old friends before their wedding. Like friends that you were pretty close with but just lost touch with for whatever reason. Did you invite them? TIA!

only certains ones i would invite... i was best friends with a girl pretty much from birth till about 12th grade! always were best friends...until college we lost touch...altho here and there we would see each other (maybe like 1 time a year) and only when my other friends were in town. well since getting engaged we have actually started reconnecting! which i think is great! Def would have invited her to the wedding no matter what tho, even if we didnt have this reconnection...she is one of the people who will always be your friend regardless of how often we see each other. we basically grew up together!

Actually I did.. I was really close with this girl from HS but then she lives in SI and got married young and has a baby... so when i found out she got preggers (last year) she invited me to the baby shower, but I couldnt make it so I sent a nice gift and so we email like every other day at work now.. anyway, she ended up surprising me at my bridal shower and I invited her to my wedding. We are actually getting married at the same RH so Im sure she will have a good time there.

I don't think I would invite them at this point. I have reconnected with a few, but none I am close enough with to invite. I also made some new friends but again, I don't feel like I need to invite them, at this point.

I had a very close friend in H.S. that I lost touch with for 9 years since graduation. We reconnected on face book and she moved to NY about 4 months ago, just after FH and I got engaged.
I invited her and her husband to the wedding. When we got back together, it was like no time had passed and we were as close as ever. To me, that was important, and I'm so happy she'll be able to be there on our special day!
It's completely up to you, how flexible your guest list is. This is your celebration -- you should be surrounding yourselves with people you love whom you want to share your joy with!
