We're going to see Movin Out on Saturday. We might go to dinner before that. Any good restaurants that won't break the bank you can recommend? At least I know most restaurants have prix fixe menus at that time.

Nothing too casual, but nothing extremely formal. I really like Italian. FH just likes to eat steak.

For Italian: Tony DiNapolis, Carmines (big family style places -- LOT of food!)
One smaller place I like is Trattoria Dopo Teatro (btn 6th/7th on 43rd) .
John's Pizzeria on 44th & 8th (not just pizza)
I probably know a bunch more I'll think about it for ya

Has anyone ever eaten at Da Rosina? They have really inexpensive prix fixe menu with a LOT of choices. Any comments?

I second John's pizza. Yum!!
You could also try Joe Allens. It's a little pricey, but GREAT steak.

There's a really cool restaurant in Times Square called NOCHE. The atmosphere is awesome, food is good too. They have a stage w/ live music, & after dinner it turns into a night club.

There's a place called BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP on B'way just past TS...haven't been but I want to!! I think it is pretty inexpensive.

There is a great place called Red on 44th (might be 43rd) between 8th and 9th. Great food and not too expensive. Also, a place called Rachel's on 9th between 44th and 43rd. Excellent!!! One of my favorite places.

DEL FRISCOS, the food is awesome, you should be able to get a reservation still and they have a $35 prix fix. The food was really good too. I think we are going back on Saturday nite!!
