i 'think' i have it narrowed down to these two places in aruba.... and i 'think' according to expedia that the marriot is more expensive for comparable rooms.
can anyone rec one over the other and if so..why?

Wow Jenn! Are you actually planning your honeymoon? Yay!
Go with the Hyatt, I think. The Marriott has two types of accommodations, one has smaller not-so-great rooms I'm told, and the nicer part has kids running all over the place. But, they do have their own private island which is supposed to be really nice. On the flip side, as a guest of another hotel, you can still go to that island, but just pay to visit.

I've heard the Hyatt in Aruba is pretty much the same to the one they have in Kauai so I'd recommend that one.

The Hyatt is so so pretty!! They have the nicest tiki huts on the beach. The restaurants there are amazing. When we went we were able to eat at one of the restaurants there and you could sit all alone at a table for two on this secluded patio it was really romantic.

we're not planning our honeymoon for another few months but we've done a lot of research on it and are choosing the Hyatt as well. i've seen a ton of pictures and it looks beautiful and it's on the center of the strip which is really convenient. my FH was sold on it when he heard they had a pool slide - he's such a kid at heart lol

The Hyatt is beautiful. No matter where you stay, you're going to have a great time. Aruba is such a beautiful place.

The Hyatt for sure! Gorgeous hotel. We stayed there. The rooms are nice, very clean. I liked the Marriott as well but just think the Hyatt is much nicer.

hi febbride.. thanks for the mini review!! i i read somehwere that the hyatt doesnt have balconies though... is that true and if so..... is not having one a big deal??? i do have dreams about sitting on a balcony with my new hubby having a drink and dancing under the stars. any thoughts? ty! xoxo jenn

The Hyatt does have balconies from what I saw, just 'standing' ones - i.e. you can stand and look out, but not sit. THe RIU Aruba Grand also had a standing balcony, and I wished we could sit out there...
The marriott and radisson have sitting balconies

I agree Aruba is a beautiful place. My FH and I have been to Aruba 3 times, and honestly I am so tempted to go back for our Honeymoon.
I recommend staying at the Hyatt. The Hyatt is right in the middle of all the hotels and it is kind of like a main hubb. I have stayed in the Hyatt, Radisson and Wyndham and they are all great hotels.
