Recurring bill payments through credit card or bank

Recurring bill payments through credit card or bank

I would like to start doing this but I'm just nervous because I feel like I'll never know when the money will be taken out. What if I don't have enough $ in the bank at the time? Or do they notify you before they go and get the money taken out?

Has anyone been using this with success for your bills? Do you do it through your bank or through the companies you get the bills from?

I've done it and have never had a problem. mt car insurance co usually sent a statement reminding me the $$ was coming out on a certain date. u just have to make sure u have the $ in yr account.

I do this with two accounts and to be honest I dont like it..I've even complained that the payments are not taken out on the same day each month , its usually between a 2-6 day window but if payday falls on the wrong day...I try to plan for say th 21st but then it'll be the 18th and nothing taken out...now one if a computer loan and one is a regular loan...I hear that the companies like Credit cards, cable, phone are better at doing it on the same day every month...

Even my gym payment doesnt come out on the same day...

I use the recurring payments taken out of my bank account and haven't had a problem with it. I use it for credit cards, truck payment, gym payment. I chose the date they take the money out. The only time it doesn't come out on that day is if it falls on a weekend. Then it will show up on Monday.
