Red Roses in May

My FI and I love this topiary arrangement which is made with Black magic roses. It is gorgeous. We were going to use this as our centerpieces.

I always invisioned spring flowers for May. Do you think red roses are too deep for a May wedding?

Also I am having spring flowers in the boo-ks. They will be placed on our table. Will this un coordinated?

I think red could be used any time of the year.. it will look beautiful.. don't worry..

I'm also getting married in May, and I also want red roses. My FMIL and Grandma think it's too dark, but it's my wedding, I say, and these are the colors I like. My BMs dresses might also be Burgundy.

I think black magic roses are darker than red, like almost black. I think that if it 's a red rose go for it. I don't know about black magic though, it depends on how dark they are.

Angie, Black Magic Roses are a deep red. They almost look velvet and when they are open they are as big as your fist. They are gorgeous.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I think these arrangements will look great in my room at the Westbury Manor. I am trying to get a picture from John my floral coordinator of the topiary. When I do I will post it.
