Red velvet Cake

Has anyone ever has this at a wedding? It's our favorite and we are trying to find vendors who can create this. We are thinking of cake man raven in brooklyn.

Re: Red velvet Cake

This is my favorite as well and we are planning to do it for our wedding, our venue includes cakes and they do have red velvet. We didnt try that flavor at the tasting but hopefully judging by the other cakes we tried from our venue-it will be equally delish.

Cake Man Raven makes the best red velvet ever-I seriously love their Red Velvet...And I have tried them at all the NYC bakeries. But according to New York Magazine they start at $10 a slice which is too $$ for us, plus a $50 consultation fee.

Added-my runner ups for Red Velvet are Amy's Bread and Sugar Sweet Sunshine-pretty good but not as perfect as Cake Man Raven. I am not sure if Amy's Bread and SSS do wedding cakes though.

Buttercup Bakeshop in NYC. There are two locations one in the 50's east side and one on the upper west side. Delicious. Also, The Cupcake Cafe in NYC.

HTH!

Re: Red velvet Cake

Red Velvet is super popular right now. I think most bakeries have it. Our cake comes w/our RH but of course red velvet is extra, but I want to taste it first since I was thinking of having it at our's too.

Re: Red velvet Cake

Most bakeries do red velvet now. It's become increasingly popular. You shouldn't have a problem getting it anywhere.

Re: Red velvet Cake

It is in Floral Park, On Jericho Turnpike, right across the street from Floral Terrace and about 1 mile west from Jericho Terrace. I haven't tried their cakes yet but I have heard awesome things. I am actually gonna use them for my cake so I can't wait!!!
