RE:Doctors--Make sure you get that second opinion if you are not happy with the Answer you get

My dad was rushed to the Hospital about 3 weeks ago because of fast heart palpitations, his heart rate was about 180, when it should normally be between 75-100.
Well, he was admitted overnight where they ended up giving him an IV, which slowed his heart down and restarted it, to make it back to regular...
The heart doctor he was seeeing, basically did nothing for him, never came back in to speak to him, and basically told him to come back in about 6 months for a follow up.
That was not good enough for my dad. He needed answers and needed it to be corrected. Meanwhile, they had to cancel their vacation and everything for fear of the unknown.
Well, My Dad went to a Doctor at St. Francis last Thursday, who set him up for an angiogram for this morning and if that showed nothing, then another doctor was going to do an electrical check thing.
Well, angigram did not show anything, so my dad had the electral test done, which did show something...there was a few spots on his upper right heart chamber, which equals to bad electraical spots, its hard to explain.
But it was something, and my dad had it fixed, has to be on meds and was ina very painful procedure, but will be OK...all because he got a second opinion...the other idiot just brushed it away..like it was a common thing...
ITs been an emotional 3 weeks for me, this in my head often, and my dad not getting the care he deserved. But, we;ll pull thru it...
So Please, please PLEASE, if you are not happy with or comfortable with a doctgor, go for that second opinion,it could be a matter of life or death.
