Redskins election theory?

So, I'm not trying to get my hopes up too high, but while I was watching the game today the announcers kept saying that for the last 17 years, when Washington has lost the last home game prior to the election, the incumbant president has also lost...

It would be interesting if this theory holds true...

Any thoughts?

DH told me this too. He was happy because the Redskins lost to the Packers, and he's a Packers fan. And we'd both rather see Kerry win.

But no other baseball team has ever rallied back from being 0-3 in the Championship series either...

I agree, this could be another year of firsts, have ya ever noticed when people say things like oh everytime so and so happens etc, the next time it happens is exactly when it doesn't happen the way it's always happened..lol

Yeah, but there's a lot of other legend that points both ways.

The candidate with the most pets wins ; Bush
The candidate whose mask sold the most on halloween wins - Bush
The candidate who wins the Nickeloden poll wins - Kerry
If the Dow dips in October, the incumbent loses (it did) - Kerry
