While going through some threads, I noticed that a new bride named Katy recommended Enchante Salon in every post, I thought this was strange. When I did a search for all of Katy's posts, I found only one post not having to do with hair and make-up that Katy posted a reply in, and in that post, she says she owns Enchante.
Now I am not saying that just because a bride owns a business, that she cannot participate on this board (if she is a bride at all), but I do think that if a vendor, especially a vendor whose services are discussed on this board, is going to plug her business every time she posts, that the least she should do is identify herself as the owner each and every time she recommends her business.
Let me finish by saying this- I am not looking to start a fight, nor do I mean any disrespect, but this is called 'Brides Helping Brides' for a reason. We look to get honest, unbiased advice and opinions from eachother about perspective vendors. When a bride on this board recommends a vendor, I for one, believe she genuinely has had a good experience with that vendor. I am not implying that Enchante Salon is not a good place, or that the brides on this board shouldn't use them, I am just saying that Katy, being the owner, is not unbiased, and should not post as if she is a bride recommending them, but all of this should go without saying since there is a vendor board just for business to plug themselves, right?
So Katy, Please use the Vendors Helping Brides board for plugs for your business, and feel free to post about anything else not related to your business.

Re: Regarding Katy-
I'm not a bride to be any more but if I can just pipe in here...I've seen this happen before on this board - owners going to great lengths to disguise themselves as brides, others times owners who were less aware of how obvious they were and even, a vendor who is also a bride plugging their biz endlessly. The thing that ALWAYS happens is that they hurt their business, or so it seems from the reactions of the brides here. In this case, whatever category Katy falls into (I haven't read her posts), it really is a shame because all I have ever read here about Enchante has been good and seems to not need plugs from the owner.
The ladies on this board are smart and can always catch onto this stuff. Best wishes to all!

Re: Regarding Katy- Please Read
I am using Kristen for my wedding day, and I don't have anything negative to say about her or the salon. I do find it very annoying when vendors post on this board. About 'Katy', I find it very interesting that she posted on the vendor board so soon after this thread began. And, what makes it even more obvious that Katy is a vendor is that it was the original poster's ('2weeks') first post ever!! I doubt she is real either (if she is I apologize). If you are a vendor trying to be a bride, it's impossible to fool us, so why bother?
I decided to post a message directly to Katy on the vendor board because when I did a search on her I found that in one of her posts on this board, she even states that she owns Enchante.

Re: Regarding Katy- Please Read
Hey girls ,this is Kathy aka katy-I want to whole heartidly apologize to each and everyone of you. When I first came on this board was because one of my hairstlylist, Kristen told me she was receiving numerous phone calls at my salon saying that she was broadcast on this web. Curious, as every woman may be, I investigated and to my surprise, there it was. I played around for awhile to see what was being said to protect her interest, as well as myself. We also were in contact with LI Weddings and soon afterward became a vendor. I first had to come on as a bride to check things out. Of course I put plugs in for the salon and the girls, because they are so wonderful. If I knew that I was doing wrong, which I realize now by someone giving right to me ,I would never had started. Please accept my apology, I never ever would do anything to hurt anybody or anything. Please don`t have any anomosity towards the girls at the salon. They work very hard and are lovely talented young women. It was MY FAULT, ans I AM TRULY SORRY. Thank you for your time. Kathy

Katy,
No harm done, and I for one have no animosity towards your girls or your salon, I hear they do beautiful work, and am even planning to schedule a hair trial. I'm sure you understand our position in that we are here for eachother as brides going through the same thing and sharing our experiences. We all take this board very seriously, and rely on it for advice, opinions, and much more, so you can see why vendor input could be a conflict of interest.
Thank you for the apology, and no hard feelings.

Kristen is my normal hairdresser and she is really great. She is also doing my hair for the wedding. I highly recommend the salon.
