Regarding the B-list invites... can I change the RSVP date without it mattering much?

Basically, today is my RSVP date. I want to put about 3 more invites in the mail to people I like but didn't make the first cut...

Can I just draw in the # 1 in front of the 5 on my RSVP cards, asking people to reply by the 15th of June? Does it reeeeeeeeeally matter?

TIA for your advice on it!

I would say change it, but know, if people talk they will know they were part of your B List

you could also say... your invite came back in the mail.

That's actually the way that I sent out a B invite this week. 'Oh, no, I sent it to an old address of yours in Schnectady, what's your new address?' Worked like a charm.

I wouldn't do it. It looks very obvious. I'm in the same situation as you. Better to use the 'came back to me' excuse. But either way they might know that they were list B because I think you're supposed to give them more time to think... more like a month, no?

I'm considering making my own rsvp cards for list B folks. Go to a crafts store like Michael's and get a DIY kit.

I have cardstock here at home and could make some other RSVPs myself to put in the additional invites.

I actually spoke to 3 of my friends at work who have known about my wedding for months now that didn't make the first list cut... and I told them of my intention to invite them to our wedding kinda last-minute.

All 3 sounded really cool about it. So my other option is to hand-deliver invites to them w/o RSVP cards and just ask them to let me know within a week of when I give it to them if they're going to come.

Even just saying it, it makes me feel like I'm talking about a kid's party, not a wedding... I'm just not sure.

I did DIY invites, I had some left over card stock and made the new RSVP June 24 - My original RSVP was today June 5.
