Regarding your pets and your choices of flowers.

I just wanted to remind you ladies that some plants and flowers are poisonous to our furry friends.

While I'd never tell anyone to change their choices of flowers, I do encourage all of you who are fur mamas to check out this link to find out if your chosen flowers are toxic...this way, you can keep your bouquets out of their reach if necessary, post-wedding.

(All varieties of plants and flowers are listed here...click on the photo and it'll tell you if it's toxic to cats and/or dogs)

wow... every flower on earth is toxic to cats! we have hydrangea bushes in front of the house too - i guess it never posed a problem though.

good thing clover is not toxic to clover lol

I'm obviosly not getting hydrangea's in my bo-k but I looked it up out curiousity and this is what it said

Family: Hydrangeaceae

Toxicity: Toxic to Cats, Toxic to Dogs, Toxic to Horses

Toxic Principles: Cyanogenic glycoside

Clinical Signs: Vomiting, depression, diarrhea. Cyanide intoxication is rare – usually produces more of a gastrointestinal disturbance.

They could cause depression?? lolol. so sad

Good thinking! I never would've thought of this. And we'll be at my moms house where her cat LOVES to eat flowers.

ETA: Awww peonies cause depression in cats and dogs.
