So, I was just telling a friend that the honeymoon my FH and I are considering is $$....but - she was telling me that a friend of hers registered for gift cards to the travel agency she booked with. I never heard of or considered that. hmmm
Im not sure what I think of that. I guess you would include cards to the travel agency along iwth the other places you are registered at.
What does anyone think of this?

ive never heard of that my hm registry is through disney itself we have just a few things on it but i say go for it why not..people put anything and everything on a registry

I've never heard of gift cards...I've heard of HM registries though where it's like you register for a massage at the hotel, or a scuba lesson, or stuff like that.

Personally, I would feel silly for some reason. FH thought it was a great idea....he feels that by registering at a store you are asking for a gift so why not for the honeymoon. I guess he makes a point...but not sure it would be something I would want to do

I know alot of people are doing it now and its just like registering anywhere else. But the thing is how many people really want to buy you a blender or towels or house stuff. Some people would rather you have a great honeymoon and give you money towards it or towards an excersion that you might want to do or a spa treatment for you and your FH on your honeymoon. I think it's a great idea and I know a bunch of peole that got the entire thing payed for :)

i think its fine as long as u dont go over kill on both try to put a little on each so people can choose and dont feel like they r paying 4 everything..jmo

I think it's a good idea. I've been to two Bridal Showers and contributed to their HM registry and FH and I will also be doing one. I think as long as you register at one place and also a travel agency to give people a choice, it's a fine idea.

We are doing one. We also registered at BBB and Kohls for people who dont like the idea of a HM registry. FH bought this house 9 years ago, so we pretty much have everything. Thats why we decided to do the HM registry.
