So my FH and I registered at Macy's yesterday. We already registered at Bed Bath and Beyond but my Mom really wanted us to do Macy's so we did. The funny thing is that we didn't even intend to register for fine china but when we were there, FH just had to have it! Seriously, I could have cared less about china and crystal stemware and flatware. I wanted my Kitchenaid mixer and pretty everyday plates. FH and the registry lady actually WALKED AWAY FROM ME to discuss which stemware goes better with the china. It was hilarious. I swear everytime I open china at my shower I'm going to say: This ones for Mark!

YAY RH twins! Giorgio's rocks my socks!
I can't even begin to describe how hard I was trying not to laugh when they started discussing whether the lenox opal innocence stemware was 'too much' along with the matching dishes, placemats and napkin. They spent 10 minutes debating whether it was too 'matchy-matchy.'

Re: Registered at Macy's yesterday
Congrats on registering....when we registered FH stole the scanner thingy from me because 'i wasn't doing it right' and proceeded to be like 'we need this and this and this'....I was pretty amuzed by him.....
Can I ask.....Which Macy's did you go to?? Fh and I want to register there but we want to go to the one with the best (biggest) selection......I know you can add stuff online but I like to touch things lol
When we went to register at BBB we went waaaaaaay out of the way to Carle Place to the BIG one by The Source....didn't find any plates I liked so now we're going to try Macy's.....

Roosevelt Field. They have a huge registry desk so there are a lot of people there to help you. I have to say, they did not have a huge selection of everyday plates. I don't know if you are looking for everyday, casual china or fine china but if you really need everyday plates, they had a very limited selection.
