Registered too soon

I am so bummed. I registered in the Fall at three places and one of my favorite items was a pair of candlestick holders (martha stewart) at Macy's (now out of stock) and these adorable cannisters at Williams Sonoma (No longer available) - I am so bummed. I wish they would email brides when that is happening. I would have purchased them when they went on final sale. Grrrr.

OMG, this happened to me with my every day dishes. Someone bought us one set of 4 place settings, but we wanted 8, then they were discontinued. Luckily BB&B was able to track down a set for us and I am going to pick it up tomorrow. Maybe you should find out if Macy's can track them down for you from another store.

This is another reason why I stalked our registry. If something I loved was limited quantity, we just bought it ourselves

The same thing happened to me. I registered for a bedding set at macys, and it is now out of stock. And A rice cooker from BBB, but they let me know that particular model was going out of stock, and replacement cooker.

I'm sorry it happened to you and they didn't notify you.

My everyday dishes were discontinued. Twice towels have been discontinued on me. You really do have to watch.

Macy's usually lets you know if they are going to discontinue something...

All of my things are slowly getting discontinued too. Mostly it's been stupid stuff, like a wine rack, trash can, things that can easily be swapped. But our bathroom set was discontinued and we bought it ourselves, and my beloved ceramic cat toilet brush, which you know i ran out like a screaming banshee to get. A set of towels at Macys got discontinued, the Lenox Mediterra pattern I just discovered, and my dessert plates and platter and sewing kit and water goblets. It's just frustrating!
