I know t his question has probably been asked a million times and I'm sorry for that. I'm getting married in November and don't plan to have an engagement party. When should I register?
Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!

I am not getting married until 9/07 and have already registed for a few things (stuff that doesn't get discontinued quickly). I am asking my family (mom, dad & brother) to buy us the stuff off of our registry as our Christmas and birthday presents. I don't think it's ever too early to register. When you go they may tell you not to register for towels and bedding as those things get discontinued every couple of months.

I would register right away. There are many people who will want to send you engagement gifts and it is helpful to have a registry in place. YOu don't need to put everything you want on there and you can build on your registry but you should do something ASAP. I think I missed out on a few gifts when I first got engaged because my parents friends were congratulating us and asked if we had registries and we said no. Now, they have kind of forgotten the good news. So better to be safe than sorry

You should register right away. I did not have an engagement party either, but some people will want to buy you a gift anyway.

I agree. We didn't have a party but a lot of people sent gifts from the registry.
