Registering

This is going to kill me folks. I dont know why this fun activity has turned into such a task. I feel like im at a loss..Im ready to just let Jason go wild.

Am I the only one freaking out that I am forgetting some important stuff?

We are at BBB, Macys, and Target (although I might toss target bc of their return policy) I dont know what to divide btw the 2. We have real expensive and nice things at macys, but Jason put all the lil kitchen thingies like everything u find in a drawer, serving spoon, wisk, grater...everything found on that wall, he put on macys...

am i crapping out over nothing!

I also cant decide on a dish set - everyday - to save my life... i dont know why its so hard..

maybe bc we dont have an apt yet? My invites for my 4/5 shower have to go out this fri.. its already late!!!!!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be ok! My shower is 4/5 too! Sounds like you have all of the basic stuff and Macy's and BBB are great places. Look at the dishes again and go with your first instinct! HTH!

what are you freaking out about? we did BBB and macys. At macys we have our china, calphalon pot set, really good towels, sheets, and bedding, pillows and a down comforter.

at BBB we have everything else like the mixer, blender/food processor, gadgets, panini maker, george foreman, more bedding (i always have two sets), more sheets and luggage.

dont' worry - you probably need more than i do (i.e., i didn't need every day dishes) but they give you lists. take your time with it and honestly.... after we registered and right before my invites went out (this week) i went back on both places websites and moved stuff around and took stuff off, added stuff, etc. (though i wouldn't do this too much once your invites are out).

i waited until the last minute too. it is very overwhelming. i did go in person to BBB to select my fine china & few other things. but i found easier to finish it online.

you should hit every price range. nothing wrong with little kitchen gadgets. guests can always put that in your wishing well.

Good Luck

We found registering to be very overwhelming too! We did macy's (bedding, some gadgets, towels, vacum, pots & pans, casual china, silverwear); BBB (most of kitchen gadgets, table cloth, folding table & chairs) and Crate & Barrel (glasswear and a few other accessories). I found it helpful to sit down with a few reistry checklist and go through and just pick stuff. Easy to add online.... Good Luck!

I feel your frustrations...I thought it'd be fun, but it's turned into such a task to register. You can add and delete things easily via the internet, so that makes it easier, but going through everything is daunting.

Hope it gets better!

PS - I chose the following for everyday dishes from BBB...I really didn't like anything else at Macys, and I thnk BBB has a nice selesction for everyday dishes:

Re: Registering

I feel your pain!! My family has been bugging me for months to do it....and our first visit to BBB I felt overwhelmed and exhausted after!!! How am I to decide what my bathrooms will look like, and my bedroom set when I have 4 months until the wedding?? I am not a good decision maker...that was already established....and I still have more to do!!! Very stressful!!

i love those dishes, they look just like my lusterware bluefin china!

I gave my BBB registry to my mom to check things off of what i have vs. the list they give u.

Its hard bc I cant be goin to these stores bc my lungs are in sad shape, so Im goin to the stores once (i went to ea. one already in july) and then all online, so i guess im feeling pressure.

Re: Registering

u can always return and exchange things if u end up not liking them or changing the colors of ur apt.

Re: Registering

Here are some of my suggestions:

1. Go onto registries of friends or us girls and see what we have and go off of that

2. If you want everyday dishes but aren't sure register for plain white at BBB

3. Register for as much stuff at BBB as possible simply for the fact they give Cash Back on returns. And those 20% off coupons are the best
