So our next big task will probably be to register within the next month. My many questions for you:
Where did you register? Did you have to make an appointment, or can you just walk in? How did you decide on the brands?

Re: Registering
BBB, Macy's, and Amazon
No appointments needed
For pots and pans and small appliances, I picked the brands that I like best and are very reputable.
For china, I picked a brand with a reputable name and a pattern I fell in love with.

Re: Registering
registered at BBB, we just walked in, there was a lady that gave us suggestions but we kinda just went off and did things on our own... we picked based on what we heard was good and what we liked. (ex for instance i picked my casual china mikasa italian countryside, i heard mikasa is good)

Re: Registering
We registered at BBB, Crate & Barrel, and Bloomingdale's.
The only one we made an appt at was Bloomies. Our consultant was great - really helped us to understand the different brands and picked out some stuff that we loved. She even made future appts for us so that we can meet with Calphalon / All Clad experts and luggage expert.

Re: Registering
We registered at Macy's, Crate & Barrel and probably at BBB as well if we can't find everything we want at the other two.... plus if gives people a lot more options as far as where to shop.
We didn't make appointments... we just walked in.
As for brands I happen to like KitchenAid but Cuisinart is also good... Bedding doesn't matter much but I love Calvin Klein's stuff... For pots we went with Calphalon.

Re: Registering
Macys, BBB and Williams Sonoma
No appointments....one I actually just did online
As for brands, I went with all reputable brands, but at BBB the women are very helpful and steered me in the right direction. Also, I took my mom once to help me.

Re: Registering
I registered at bed bath and beyond. It took a lot of time for the girl to enter in all our info-I would have rather have started one online and than just went to the store and added stuff. Use the registry checklist.

Re: Registering
I just walked into the stores and registered. Actually I did make an appointment for Macy's but it was pointless because I had to wait like 20 minutes to talk to someone. I did bed bath and beyond and macys. Honestly people only bought from bed bath and beyond. Macys was a little pricey for people. I picked based on quality and just what I know are good products. China I just picked what i liked and also ones that don't break. I had a hard time picking knives and pots and pans.
