Registering

Registering

Has anyone registered already? If so, where? FH's mom has been asking if we are registered since the day after we got engaged. Haha :) So, I think we are going to Bed, Bath and Beyond tonight to register.

Re: Registering

We registered at BBB for our e-party (just some stuff nothing crazy!). We had so much fun - it def takes longer than we anticipated though and we didn't even finish!!! (we don't live together yet, though, so we need EVERYTHING!). 1 thing to remember that they told us is not to register for like towels, linens, etc. that change seasonally and will prob be discontinued by the time we are getting married (e.g. the white towels labeled 'snow' right now will be changed to 'cotton' or something for spring so it will show as discontinued!), just a tip I picked up BBB is the best though, they have sooo much and your guests can use coupons Idk where else we are registering, but it is def a fun process - enjoy

We registered at BB&B for our e-party.. I add onto it as I think of things but as the wedding gets closer I'm gonna register at more places.

We are registered at BBB and Crate and Barrel. Everyone kept asking us where we were registered so we finally did it.

Re: Registering

We did BBB mainly, but did a Macys one as well since they have some pieces for our china set that BBB didn't, plus there were a few things that we liked better from them.

We also didn't put sheets and towels yet, but will probably put those on the Macys registry bc I think they have nicer stuff.

we got a few things off it when we first got engaged, but we even got some stuff for Christmas!

I am going to be registering probably in april or June of 2011. I am going to register in Bed Bath and Beyond and we are also going to register at Target too. Totally can't wait to register.

NO MORE FORTUNOFF'S
We are registering at Bed bath and Beyond, Macys and we are looking into different travel sites that people can buy us things we want for our honey moon, like dinners and massages.

Re: Registering

We registered at BBB to start. They have everything! If you are one to get overwhelmed, however, be careful. The first time I went with my FH the lady we worked with wanted to go through EVERYTHING! Don't get me wrong, she was very nice, but it seemed like she wouldn't leave us alone until we registered for china, kitchen, electrics...the whole nine yards. After 3 hours we walked out with barely anything on our list. My FH then said he wasn't going back until we registered for fine china and everyday dishes, so I went with my mom and we just ran through the store and got so much done!

I also registered at Macy's (luggage) and odds and ends BBB didn't have and Bloomingdales (everyday dishes). I double registered for my fine china--both BBB and Macy's.

BBB is wonderful because of the coupons but Macys is nice because they give you a certain percentage of money people spent on your registry plus money you spent in the store (if you have a Macy's credit card) back in the form of a gift card after your wedding.

Sorry so long...hope that helps!

Re: Registering

Linds, you're totally right about the macys and the money back which can be really nice.

Also, my family all has macys cards and wants to use their rewards so I may have to double register as well. Although I hate the idea of returning doubles.

It was fun to see FH have opinions on things I never thought he would. I thought I would have to pick out china and flatware all by myself but NOPE he had opinions on those and we ended up finding something we both really like.
