So today was the day for FH and I to do our registering.....I compromised with him to do 3 (bed bath & beyond, macys and william sonoma) and we had a small hiccup. We spent over 5 hours in bbb......to say it nicely FH was not going anywhere else. He doesnt want to do it anymore. He was so into it for like the first 2 hours but it was all down hill from there. How do I convince him that the other 2 places will be quick? Should I just go by myself? I'll let him cool off today and try to talk him into it tomorrow!

I made a deal with FH that if he came with me to the venues, I wouldn't make him help me register. He really doesn't care too much about what we pick, bc, as he says, 'as long as I have a plate to eat off of, I don't really care what the plate looks like.' (He thinks he's so funny. LOL)
Try registering online with him there, and if he doesn't seem interested, take a friend or your mom to do the rest! We girls enjoy these things, but sometimes the men just see it as shopping with no reward of taking home a new toy at the end. I personally wanted to be able to physically touch the things I was choosing to register for to make sure they were what the description said they were, so I couldn't do much online.

I know FH is gonna hate it but he says he wants to come. I know he will last about one hour and be done. I plan on doing my other two registries with my mom and aunt and my fsil. Honestly I wouldn't make your FH do it if he hates it. Get one of your bridesmaids to come :)

My mom helped my sister out a lot when she had to do hers. She took her hubby to go and do basic stuff then went back with my mom and added on the extra obnoxious stuff! HTH!

My FH is obsessed with our registry. He constantly checks it and adds/deletes things. I don't think its necessary for him to come if he doesn't want to!

So I talked to FH and after our 5 hour bbb experience he is fine with me going with my mom to do the others. I will show him some of the stuff online before I go with her and then show him what else I added after online also. Thanks for all the advice!

I'd just do it online. we only went to bed bath in person and then I registered blooms & crate & barrel online myself. though fh seems excited to go check out crate & barrel one day. my moh who is engaged I think registered with her mom. some guys are just not into it.
