What are your opinions on this? Yes / No? Why / Why not? I realllllllllllly love the Raspberry color one at Bloomingdales but for $440, even on sale i think its $360 - Worth it???

Re: Registering for a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
We just registered at BBB and I did put a Kitchen Aid Mixer on my registry. I dont bake much at all nor do I predict using it often but the Consultant said now is the time to get this as a gift, so I added it. In white..... but if you want color, go for it!

Re: Registering for a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
Definitely worth it. It's one of those things that you probably would never buy for yourself, but would be so happy to receive as a gift. I use my mother's all the time. I bake often, so to me it's absolutely worth it.

i agree - if you want it you should add it! ppl may go in together to purchase it or at the very least if no one purchases it you will get it for a discounted rate. i am a big believer that you need items in ALL price ranges

Re: Registering for a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
which model did you guys register for? i was on BBB and saw some mixed reviews on different models.
We have the large architect on our registry (actually the whole line). Definitely worth it! I do baking/cake decorating every once in a while for fun and it is so wonderful! It makes everything so easy!

I think I've seen the Artistry Mixer on sale at Macy's for $299...are you registered there at all? I think you definitely should keep it on your registry because like the other girls have said, a few people may go in together and get it for you as a group gift.

Re: Registering for a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
We registered for the KitchenAid 5-Quart Artisan Stand Mixer for $300 in blue willow, the cover for $25 for when we aren't using it and the best part of all, the ICE CREAM maker attachment for $80. I want that more than anything else!! all at BBB.
My sister has one and uses it all the time. She makes pizza dough, mixes bread, mashed potatoes, makes cakes and such. There are many things you can use it for although some times she says its just easier to take out the hand mixer I bought her one year just because its quick and easy.

Go for it! A registry is a wish list and its up to your guests if they want to buy it.

Re: Registering for a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
I have one and I love, love, love it. My Mom bought us one when we mooved into our new Apt. I love to bake and was doing a lot of things by hand so this is wonderful. I think I amk going to put a bunch of the attachments on my registry when I do one. There are soo many different ones, an Ice cream maker like someone metioned before is at the top of my list

Re: Registering for a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
I registered for the stainless steel one and BB & B. I would love to bake more if I had the time- but I do a fair share of cookie baking around the Holidays. It's really tiring with a hand mixer so there was no question I was putting it on the registry!
