Registering for HM

Registering for HM

We were at Liberty Travel today and the TA mentioned registering for our HM.... preciously I was not a fan, felt like I would be just asking for cash and people might find it tacky. But she made it sound totally different-- showed me the cards and how it works.... plus FH and I already live together so won't have too many household items to register for....

What do you think about it? Any one doing this/not? Why/why not?

TIA

I defiantly think its a good idea if you have everything else you would need.

Plus maybe hint to your bridal party about throwing a shower thats based on where the two of you are going. So this way it will be easier to explain to people about the registry HM, because I don't think people like my grandma would understand lol.

Yeah- I totally agree there--

I wouldnt have the BP put the registry in the invitation to the shower-- maybe just have our parents and BP spread the word on it. I dont want to put anyone off-- but I dont want to get 25 more waterford vases like I did at my E-party....which is what I'm afraid will happen if we don't register for enough--- our house is covered in waterford, lenox, namb, tiffany's.... lol- I love it all- but how many vases, candlesticks, dishes etc can one have?!?!!

Deb and Fred have registered for their honeymoon, through Liberty Travel. It's not tradtional wedding gift giving, but when I checked out the site, I liked it! Mary MOB

We registered w/ liberty too. We didnt register for things like cookware (have already) and fine china (dont want). So , we did the HM registry.

Like any other registry- ppl want to give u what u want. We actually had a few ppl give us HM CGs or put $ on our account for our e-party.

im doing it. just figured if there is not much on registry then people have another choice. no biggy if they contribute or not but just another option. and travel agent made it sound like it was a good idea for family who didnt want to buy a 'toaster' for the shower. I was like ok then.
