Registering for Honeymoon?

Registering for Honeymoon?

How many of you are registering for money towards a honeymoon fund?

If so through what site?

I'm contemplating if I really want to do this or not. Feel weird doing it. And if I do book it, I will have to book on my credit card. So how does that work if you already pay for it? Or does it have to go to some sort of direct payment to a travel agent for your honeymoon?

Re: Registering for Honeymoon?

I did a small target registry and used Honeyfund.com for our honeymoon registry. I still pay for the honeymoon on my own. There is no middle travel agent involved as far as honeyfund goes. Guests can purchase bits and pieces of your honeymoon that you create on your page. They can pay by mailing you a check etc, or if you have a paypal account you can set it up so your guests can use a credit card and then it goes directly into your paypal a count. Hope I helped!

How did you let your guests know about the honeyfund website? Did you make little cards to put in the shower invites with the you're registered at target cards?

If u pay for the hm already (airfare and hotel) ur guests can still pay towards activities, and yes, u can print out little cards with the website u're gonna be using, just as if u were registered in a store

We registered

Have gotten almost $1200 off of it so far! It has been really fun reading the notes that people send along with their gifts about their experiences at certain places or how they have always wanted to go there, etc

Here is ours

Oh. And we put it on our wedding website then put the website on evert ing (like on the reception card)

We also had all hotel info on our website, etc and did not out hotel cards in our invites

Everyone was sent to the website on both the STD and the reception card in the invitation package

we did one- we are using www.uponourstar.com- I love how easy it is, so far no complaints.

Mainly I was looking for something I could use for more than just honeymoon- so this was a nice balance of both honeymoon and really- anything. It is very universal.

HTH!

I LOVE honeyfund. I did a LOT of research on registries before choosing it.

You can specify exactly what items you want and cash comes directly to you. Guests make a pledge to give you the csh or check at the wedding or shower or they can pay directly through paypal. The only charge is the one paypla charges, (about 3%) so it's WAY less than most other registries that charge 7%.

Our stuff has to be paid by CC. I just transfered the money from paypal to my checking account or and paid by debit card. Or, if you have already paid for something, you just keep the cash.

Here's our registry, as you can see, most of the excursions have been paid for. The cnadlelight dinner is actually something we're getting for free through our travel agent, but I added it on a few days ago and it's already been bought. We're going to use the money toward a couples massage.
