Registering for Out of Towners

Hi girls! Because my wedding plans are finally moving along we are going to start registering. The only thing is about half of our wedding guests will be out of towners, he's from MA and we both went to college in MA. A lot of the stores I wanted to register in aren't as easily accessible to people from MA, like Fortunoff and Crate and Barrel (there are a few CB stores though). I know that there are always online registerys but I know that I personally like to go and pick the gift out myself. If you were/are in a similar situation where did you register? Thanks

I haven't registered yet, either, but Williams-Sonoma is nation wide, and I know that Macys has stores in MA.

i registered for some stuff at target- there are targets everywhere.

we had the same problem as well for our engagement party. i know that bloomingdales, macys, and bed,bath and beyond are nationwide companies and a lot of people do like to buy things on line because its easier and free to ship.

I Hate to use a four-letter word on the boards, but I did it at the 'KNOT' & they use Linnens & things & fortunoff's that way your guests can either call the 800 number & order or go online & order.

I have the same problem, many out-of-towners & most are overseas.

I was thinking of Target, I just love that store!! But I've heard some bad things about their return policy, and I've heard some bad things about Macy's, like putting wrong things on the website.

fallin... I am so NOT a Knot fan, but I had very little choice although I do have one at tiffany's now too, that one cn also be accessed both online & through an 800 number.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I can't wait to register, FI and I just went shopping for my friends bridal shower and we had such a good time picking out stuff to put on our registry!!

we registered at fortunoff and Target there are targets every where.

I think target has an iffy return policy...I would look into that...

I know Macy's is nationwide (again maybe some return hassle) and they also go under different names...

Bed Bath and Beyond were great...they are nationwide and you can get cash back on returns

If you really like Fortunoffs people can buy the stuff online...

We are in the same situation. We live on west coast and ALL our family is on the East coast.

We are registering at Bed Bath and Beyond and Target since they are both nationwide and have online stores.
