Re: registering for the first time??

I actually took a suggested list from the web. FH and I then went through it and said, yes we need this, no we will never use that. Then I went online and looked at the stores websites - Macys, Fortunoff's, Crate & Barrel, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc ... to see which stores had what I liked and wanted. I jotted notes down on some of the items on my list to make it easier for FH & I.
Because of the work beforehand we actually had a great time picking items out and registering. FH would have hated to walk around aimlessly. And I got to learn what he likes beforehand too.
A friend of mine registered this weekend - 7 hours and only a handful of items. She said it was torture, becuase they didn't discuss things beforehand.

That's just my opinion though.

I also used a suggestion lis from the web. I would have had no idea what to do otherwise.

Where can we find this suggested list?

I think The knot has one, Fortunoff's.com I think has one too. I had gotten a packet at BBB and brought it home and reviewed it with FH.
I registered right away because I knew family members wanted to buy stuff. We had an engagement party and got gifts and money.
