Re: Registering tips?
I'm planning on starting tomorrow too. I think we're doing Crate & Barrel and BBB. I would love to hear some tips.

Amazon.com has a registry option. Draws vendors from the whole internet. Just a suggestion.

Re: Registering tips?
We registered today at BBB in Westbury. It was so much fun! There were a number of other couples there and I wondered if any of them were girls on here

Crashing* Just an FYI; I heard William Sonoma in the Smithaven Mall is going out of business around the 17th; I'm not sure if it's all of the though.

Good to know. Im registering at the one in the city. Close to my job. i haven't heard anything about them all closing tho. I hope not. I think keep them in business single handedly.

I heard this too! I believe its b/c of a rent dispute though or so I hear.

Re: Registering tips?
FH and I created a registry for our E-Party and it was a lot of fun. BBB has a great checklist for you to use to give your ideas and tips.
My suggestion would be to register for what you need, but don't forget about decor items. Also, don't be afraid to put big ticket items on there.

Re: Registering tips?
my best tip: Start a registry ONLINE before going into the store (BBB). It saves at least an hour, possibly two hours, in store. My FH was very thankful!

Re: Registering tips?
Just a note on BBB: I ended up going to the one in Plainview yesterday while waiting for FH to finish up his flag football game. The selection at the Westbury BBB is definitely much bigger and better.

Re: Registering tips?
My suggestion is create your registries online before going to the store. It saves time with all the paperwork, so you can get to scanning faster.
I only registred at Macy's. FH and I went to the one in Roosevelt together and then I went to Macy's in the city one night and added on. I love that night by myself to just take my time and not have him argue with me over what i was scanning LOL

Agreed! I did everything online and went to the store once only to remove everything I scanned in person because it was not available for online purchase.
Everyone wiped out my Macys registry. Williams Sonoma has amazing stuff but people like to shop at Macys. We got Bed Bath & Beyond gift cards from the e party and also for christmas so we just used those to get anything we needed there.
