Registering - whats the best day?
My FH & I have decided to avoid the crowds, and take a day off work to do this. We are definately going to Fortunoffs and maybe Williams - Sonoma. Whats the best weekday?

Re: Registering - whats the best day?
I registered at Macys and was there on a weekday as soon as they opened. I felt like I had the whole store to myself.

I am really dreading it - we have to pick all the tough stuff - china, crystal, etc. We have all the basics.

Re: Registering - whats the best day?
Definately a weekday morning. If you are going to a place like Fortunoff, you definately want to get their early so you can get the scanner. It makes registering soooo much easier. And you really do feel like you have the place to yourself.

Re: Registering - whats the best day?
I registered after work on a Monday at Crate and Barrel in NYC and it was not that crowded. I'm going to do the same with Bloomingdales sometime soon. I'd say just avoid weekends.

Re: Registering - whats the best day?
I just went this Monday to Fortunoff's at 3pm and it was basically empty! Lots of fun, but so much to choose from, it gets confusing! Love the scanner!

Re: Registering - whats the best day?
try to envision when the stores are the most crowded. I say try to stay away from weekends if you can, if not, go early. Whatever you decide, try to go soon, before the holiday crowds start!

Re: Registering - whats the best day?
believe it or not i thought fortunoff was pretty busy at 11 am on a tuesday but i guess it would probably be better than the weekend, either way they have alot of people to help you which was one of the major reasons i love the place, you shouldnt have any problems.Good luck and have fun, I know its stressful but i just finished so if you need any help just post and ask, thats what this board is meant for right ;)

LizLen2003 - time to register
We've been engaged since February, so for us I think its about time. However, I do want to get this done by the end of October. In my mind thats the next biggest thing to get 'done' after the reception, band, and photographer. One of the newlyweds might give you a more realistic time frame. I'm just trying to get the 'big' stuff done
