Re: Registries

I don't think so. However, to avoid embaressment when sending out bridal shower invites. I would ensure that each guests get two of the five and you can get a little of something from each store. Just consider these things:

the location of each store and does your guest have access to each store.

the returning nightmare if you get duplicates and have to go to five different stores. '

Otherwise I think its great and fun to do.

Good luck

Re: Registries

I have five but one of them i am not putting on the invites - just word of mouth as it is only in NYC.

I asked a buttload of people if it was tacky to have 5, and the overwhelming answer was 'not really.' I am registering for the same amount of stuff as someone with 1 or 2 registries, I just love things from different stores. So it's not like I am asking for more, just more variety.

Thats how I chose to look at it for my own sanity.

I have the same thing. For example, in Pottery Barn and WIlliam Sonoma we only registered for a couple of things. Most of our registry is in BB&B.

Re: Registries

We're registered at Williams Sonoma, Crate and Barrel, and Fortunoff. We only registered for a few items at WIlliams Sonoma (less than 10). I considered deleting that registry, but decided to leave it as is. I, too, worried that numerous registries would look strange. Ultimately, I chose to keep the Williams Sonoma registry because the few items we registered for are items we both want.

I like the suggestion about only enclosing some registry cards with the bridal shower invitations. I'd feel a bit overwhelmed if I received 5 registry cards in an invitation.
