How many places did you guys register at? And how far out from your wedding date?

3 BBB, Crate & Barrel & Macy's
we registered right after we got engaged because people were asking, then we wanted to be registered for the E-Party because people were also asking---Check out the official registry thread...I'll bump it

Right now I am only registered for one. I think I will do one more later on.

Re: Registries

We registered at BBB and Macy's. We registered about 2 months after we got engaged since everyone kept asking and we had our engagement party about 2 months later so it was perfect.

Re: Registries

Thanks ladies! I don't think we are doing an engagement party, so I didn't know when to start. So far I am thinking BBB, Macys, and maybe another. Is it better to register somewhere that you can actually get to easily? Bloomies is a little far...does it matter?

Thanks

Re: Registries

Not necessarily....we did Crate and Barrel and that's a drive for us but so easy for people to shop online...and we love Crate and Barrel so that was a must for us. We did BBB because they have everything...then we did Macy's basically for my Mom, it has like 15 items on it, luggage and some other extra things that the other 2 places didn't have...any everyone loves Macy's because of the coupons

Re: Registries

I don't even know where to start. We have very much of a starter house already with most of the basics...but eventually I want to move and purchase a better home a few years from now! I guess I should think long-term....fine china, etc. BBB seems to have everything

Re: Registries

yeah you can't go wrong with BBB....they have EVERYTHING!!!

I would suggest you can register in person that you can add and delete online (it's a little addicting)

Re: Registries

Yeah...I think registering in person is the best idea too.

Re: Registries

If you can go to the one in Manhasset and meet with Lisa...she is AMAZING!! We were there for 2 and a half hours and she walked us around the whole store and gave us an education..she told us what to register for and what not too...she was amazing!

Re: Registries

Oh good - thanks. I guess I only really need to go there in person once and manage online, so I might as well go to one that is a little far and have a quality experience

Re: Registries

absolutely! That's what we did...and you can always go to Crate and Barrel to see if you like anything there, it's right across the street! Def see if you can get Lisa too...she's awesome!

Re: Registries

rigght now at two places macys and bbb we did it almost right away people kept asking me

after my appertment is done i may add target and khols more so for the decorating stuff and storage and maybe some of the funiture that they have fh and i do not have much since we both still live at home, then thinkging it may be good for holiday gifts

Re: Registries

Just Macys for now... and just because people asked for it. We'll be adding BBB eventually because people asked for that as well.. but FH really wants to do Sears when it gets closer (tools, outdoor stuff.... etc).

Re: Registries

We did BBB and Macys --- BBB prices are the best but Macy's has better perks on China and stuff when they are completed.

We just added Pamped Chef recently because we love thier stuff..

We registered a year out for the engagement party and are still adding things here and there.

Re: Registries

We did a brick and mortar registry at Macy's just in case, but most of the registry is at myregistry.com. We didn't need a lot of housewares so this way, we can register for different things at any online store in the world. We have things in there from bestbuy, judiasm.com, dillards, etc. But you can register from anywhere for anything. We were also able to synch it with our Macy's registry. So far, its working out really well.

Re: Registries

We are registered at 2. They aren't published though bc I did it online and FH wants to go to the stores but his work schedule is 6 days a wk right now, so thats not happening!

We've registered at BB&B & Bloomingdale's so far. We might register at Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel too..
