Re: REGISTRY?????????
Just wanted to forewarn you about registering at Target. I had a registry there, and cancelled it. 1-They registry is REMOVED all together 90 days after the wedding. 2-Their return policy is horrible. You cannot even exchange an item if you don’t have a receipt. Basically…No Receipt=No action.
I suggest Bed, Bath and Beyond OR Kohl’s for something more reasonable than Macy’s or Fortunoffs.
Good Luck!!

Re: REGISTRY?????????
Definitely a good idea. I plan on registering at Macy's for our china and then BBB for the every day. No need to break your guest's wallets!

Re: REGISTRY?????????
I registered at BBB. I told my bp and my parents to remind guests about the 20% off coupon if anyone asks about where we are registered. It isn't good for everything there (no Vera Wang, no Lenox), but 20% is awesome.

Yeah def! I'm registered at Fortunoff and Crate and Barrel and I plan on also registering at Bed Bath and Beyond so people could use their 20% coupons...Some of fortunoffs stuff is overpriced and Bed Bath and Beyond sells it much cheaper

Re: REGISTRY?????????
I was joking that we should send 20% coupons in everyone's e-party invite.

I don't understand why it is greedy? Wouldn't more places give people more options of stores that may be close to them?

Re: REGISTRY?????????
I second this, their return policy is nothing short of ridiculous. You can't even get store credit.

yes- IMO it is not greedy- we are registered at fortunoff, bbb& filenes, plus a few things at tiffany.
we like different things at each store. that doesn't make you greedy- it is just a matter of taste.

Re: REGISTRY?????????
I think that its fine to register at more than one place. We're registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Fortunoffs right now. We are even considering a third place. I think that it makes it easier for people to find you something that they are happy with too.

Re: REGISTRY?????????
I selection of places is fine...I did three - Fortuoff, BBB and a very small one at Tiffany.
I may even do a Crate one for when the shower gets closer.

Re: REGISTRY?????????
I registered at Fortunoff, MACY's, Crate and Barrell and Williams-Sonoma. Fortunoff has the most full registry list with very few over the top selections. I registered for china, flatware and stemware at Fortunoff AND MACY's for accessibility reasons. I did not pick things that I want or do not want based on what people can afford. It is simply a wish list and with most places offering 10% off for completing a registry after the wedding, there is no reason NOT to register for anything you want even if noone buys it for you.

Re: REGISTRY?????????
I think you should defintiely register at more than one place. Not everyone has a fortunoff near them, or a macy's or whatever, and even though you can order online some people will want to buy things in the store! Also, it gives people more options for price ranges.
I think you should defintiely register for what you want, but if you can include things at ALL price ranges so it gives people a lot of options. Don't shy away from adding expensive items that you really need/want. Some people will want to buy an expensive gift, or many people may schip in, also as golid mentioned, you usually get 10% off after the wedding, so you may as well take advantage of that as much as you can!
I think 2-3 places is customary. 4+ is a lot and it seems like it would be hard to keep track of. Right now we have aFortunoff and BBB, but there are only a few item at BB that can't be bought elsewhere, so I may just buy them myself ( a few frames to match our bathroom decor), and make it fortunoff and jc penney, jc penney has such a HUGE selection of appliances..or we may do macy's. if you have a macy's charge you get a 5% credit or something when people buy off your registry!
