When do you register? How much time before the wedding? Someone told me I sohould register but my wedding is 2 years from tomorrw. They said then I could get gifts for my birthday and holidays. What does everyone think? Thank You

It's probably a good idea to go pick out a few things because people will want to get you engagement gifts etc. If you want China it can't hurt to pick it out now. You can always add more things like bedding and towels etc closer to the wedding.

I agree it wouldn't hurt to do a little now...china usually doesn't become discontinued...crystal and flatware...
do NOT do towels or bedding until a month or two before your shower!! they go in and out with the seasons...
also make sure your registry is online...I checked periodically to see if something had become discontinued...
I registered 14 months before wedding.

I would definatly register for china..picture frames crystal.. now and the rest later...I registered at fortnoff.. i liked it, macys was a nightmare, we registered there first, but once we went to fortunoff we deleted the macy registry.. also registered at kohls...(for towels and bedding)
